点评：DON'T BOTHER WITH PIER52
I was looking for a new hobby, as I am semi retired. I thought i might try kayaking, and booked into Pier52 for a 30 minute session, never having kayaked before.
The ticket said to arrive at 12.45. I arrived at said time and was told by 2 young lads to "come back at 1" (a rather pointless instruction). One of them indicated that I would be using kayak 2.
Whilst waiting, I walked across to kayak 2 and found it to be covered in mud, and pools of water where I was supposed to sit.
I waited for someone to come back, and told them that I wouldn't be getting into number 2 kayak. I was offered another, but that also had pools of water in the unpadded seat, and the strap holder points were broken off.
I also wondered what emergency services this young lad would offer, if I was to get into any difficulties on my own on a windswept lake?
I said not to bother. It seemed very unprofessional and ad hoc. Poor maintenance and basic cleaning of equipment
I wrote an email to see if I could get a refund, but have been completely ignored so far.
