Enjoyed stay but needs a good clean

点评：Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Ribby Hall but there are a few areas for improvement. The reviews on cleanliness are indeed spot on. Our cottage wasn’t clean upon arrival. I’d say a quick wipe round was done before the last guests and that was as far as it went. Stuff under sofas, finger prints on windows, toilets smelt of urine, floors needed a good mop and hoover. The beds had stains on them which was so off putting. There is also a damp, musky smell throughout the accommodation. They really need to rethink the cleanliness and improve it. It was our second stay, we came in May and it was exactly the same. We upgraded our cottage to a better one this time thinking it would make a difference, it didn’t. If anything, it was worse.
We also stayed in a cottage directly attached to another one and had really noises neighbours. Just unlucky. One particular evening they returned late and played music, banged around, you can hear everything. I complained to security and they came roughly 10 mins later and knocked on. It didn’t do much, if anything they got worse because they knew we grassed them up. I’m just bare this in mind that if you get a cottage that is attached to another, you can hear everything. The walls are super thin.
Other than the issues with accommodation we had a nice time. Our little one loved the swimming baths, the slides, the park and the pottery class.
The food is good at the restaurant and in the hive. Entertainment was enjoyable for the little ones too.
