Namibia Tours & Safaris的点评
点评：If ever we have hit the jackpot with a holiday, this was it.
First, any communications with the company beforehand were answered promptly and were sufficiently detailed. We were also provided with a detailed breakdown of the holiday which was helpful in enabling us to choose this company in preference to the three others that were being considered.
Our thanks to Simone for her assistance and being our dedicated point of contact.
We were a couple in a party of five, fortunate in only meeting our travelling companions on the first day of the holiday, and completing it as friends
Where we were especially fortunate was in having Jakes, our guide for the duration of the holiday, who was an excellent and safe driver behind the wheel of a well maintained, robust and spacious and comfortable vehicle. Jakes was an absolute fund of knowledge and information, with a considerable knowledge of his country's fauna (including birds) and flora, down to knowing the Latin names for many creatures and plants.
He is also an experienced tracker and put this skill to excellent use when we were in Damaraland (Twytelfontein) and Etosha National Park. He also has an unerring ability to determine where we were most likely to see game and used his skills in tracking down the elephants in Damaraland and being in close proximity to them. At Etosha, we had close (but safe) encounters with two white rhinos, and a cheetah, over two consecutive days. While there, we also observed lion (twice) and our various visits to the watering holes were always rewarded with a range of the more commonly encountered species, often interacting with each other.
It is all to the absolute credit of Jakes that he made this holiday one of the best and most unforgettable we have ever had (and I say that as experienced travelers).
It is rare for a two-week holiday with so many moving parts to be so entirely successful. I attribute this to the combined expertise of Simone, who organised it and Jakes, who accompanied us.
Our accommodation was consistently of the highest standards, and our meals were similarly of excellent quality
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Namibia Tours and Safaris to anyone thinking of visiting this vast, beautiful and beguiling country. When you book with them, I hope that you will be as fortunate as we were with our guide.
