Huge hygiene and disease risk and a run down disappointment

点评：Took my granddaughter for a day out today after we had seen photos on socual media of all thr actuvities as well as the animals. There is a huge hygiene risk at this park to animals and visitors - I work with animals and was very concerned to see no biosecurity in areas which allowed people in to pet animals, sych as the wallabies and goats. There are no disinfectant mats, no hand wash by the wallabies and none of the hand wash stations had water after the one at the entrance to the animal.zone so if a child pets a goat there is a considerable walk before they can wash their hands. Outside of the hygiene risks thr visit was a tital a disappointment as almost all activities were broken or closed. Positives - the staff I met were lovely, the castle engaged my grandaughter and the animals seem well cared for and healthy. The negatives - the water ride was in pieces, in the go cart track there were just three, ine for older children that worked, one for smaller children which had a shredded tyre so unusable and a small plastic sit on digger. All if the sit ons and arcade games in the soft play were out of order and a bridge in the walk in goat area was rotten and broken and an accident risk. Refreshments - ice cream was expensive at £3.50 for one scoop, but.looked like good quality The cafe only sold deep fried food and very sugary snacks. Overall there was just enough to keep my 3 year old grandaughter interested for just over 2 hours including 45 minutes in soft play. I found it all very sad - its a beautiful setting and could be amazing but the owners seem to be letting it fall apart.
