点评：We'd passed by Pebble Rock on 290 in Johnson City several times on our way to Fredericksburg, but never thought to stop. Their location isn't near the cluster of wineries between JC and F'burg, so it's missed by many. During our Advance Texas Wine Ambassador class Pebble Rock was mention several times. So the next we decided to stop by see what we'd been missing.
They advertise by appointment only, we didn't have an appointment but decide to take our chances. Turns out we were able to slip into an empty slot between two other tasting. Rob and Lydia (husband and wife owners) were very welcoming and we started our tasting immediately. Rob shared his knowledge of Texas wines for about 45 minutes. We walked away with some of Rob's great insight on his wines as well as the surrounding wine country. It's a very intimate tasting in warm setting; nothing like the BIG tasting rooms being shared by 100+ people in a very commercial setting!
We picked up a bottle of their 2021 Teroldego after tasting their making of this relative new grape to Texas wines.
