One of the most moving moments was seeing chimpanzees in Kibale Forest. Watching them in their natural habitat—moving through the trees, calling to one another, and going about their day—was thrilling and deeply emotional. Meeting the mountain gorillas in Bwindi was just as unforgettable. Being so close to these gentle, magnificent animals, surrounded by the forest, is an experience that is difficult to put into words. In Rwanda, seeing the golden monkeys brought another joyful and special moment to an already remarkable journey.
A huge part of what made this trip so exceptional was my guide, Mike. His professionalism, knowledge, kindness, and genuine passion made every day better. He helped me understand the places and wildlife I was experiencing, took wonderful care of me, and made the journey feel smooth and personal from beginning to end. Mike is an outstanding guide, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to accompany me on this adventure.
As a Brazilian solo traveler, I felt welcomed and in excellent hands throughout the trip. I wholeheartedly recommend BUGOLI to anyone dreaming of exploring Uganda and Rwanda.
