点评：We booked a custom two-night trip to Ninh Binh, after having been on the go through Ha Giang and Sapa via another tour. We wanted to both relax and enjoy the scenery of Ninh Binh, which did not disappoint. Our guide Sam was enthusiastic and passionate about sharing the cultural history of the region. While the caves and scenery of Trang An were stunning, we were not prepared for the sheer number of boats on the water, as it was overwhelming, if not annoying. Once you were able to look away from the fact there were orange vests in every direction and a line-up of boats waiting to enter the cave system, the tour became more impressive. However, the following day, our boat cruise through Tam Coc was a bit less over-bearing with boats and more comfortable. It was cool and rainy both days, but it did not stop the tour from proceeding as scheduled. The fact we also had time built into the afternoons to relax at the Esmeralda Resort was enjoyable.
