It’s not Alton Towers but it is a fun place
Springfields Fun Park的点评
点评：We went with our daughter and three grandchildren, the entry cost just under £100 including a few add ons. But once in the Fun Park there were no further costs. The way we see this place is that it’s a decent ball park/indoor play area, it also has a number of animals of different sizes and varieties to enjoy, and it has a vintage Fairground which is probably unique. So three in one!
On entry yes it looks a little tired but after an hour or so we got the feel of the place, the grandchildren loved the indoor play area, which is adjacent to the small cafeteria. We then spent time with the stabled horses and other animals before venturing further into the park.
It seems the vintage Fairground was purchased as a job lot some years ago as all the old haulage wagons and trailers are parked up. The fairground rides are scattered through the park - they are old but all work well. The carousel was built in Gloucester over one hundred years ago, two of the carousel horses were salvaged from another ride and are one hundred and fifty years old. The whole thing was originally steam driven, I learnt all this from the very enthusiastic man managing this ride, and the original manufacturers name plates and dates. I would think that all the rides date back at least 100 years. It was a real nostalgic look back to different times when rides were not all about thrill seeking. There is a ghost train and a great bumper car circuit. Our grandchildren felt none of the nostalgia, they just had a great time on the various rides.
We took a picnic with us and were welcome to use the tables and chairs set out in the park. The free tractor ride took us all on a circuit round the whole park, it’s big. We were there for nearly five hours, the time passed very quickly.
So, in conclusion it’s a unique nostalgic experience which won’t be there forever. Go there and embrace it. We all really enjoyed it - it was very sunny which of course added a bit to the enjoyment of the day.

我们带了野餐食物，公园里备好的桌子和椅子也供我们随意使用。免费的拖拉机游览带我们绕整个公园一圈，公园的面积可真大。我们在那里待了近五个小时，时间过得飞快。
