St. Michael's Cave的点评
点评：This place is one of the highlights of Gibraltar and for me is unmissable. The use of light is absolutely amazing in how it brings to life the whole network of amazing caves.
It has been in use as a theatre since the early sixties with capacity for 600 persons. This a certainly a unique venue with its scale, lights and acoustics. At some period during the history of this cave, part of a stalagmite became too heavy on one side and fell, possibly thousands of years ago. It now lies on its side at the far end of the main chamber. In 1972 a slice was cut off from the top end which revealed the interior structure of the stalagmite and shows the various layers just like a geological time capsule.
All in all the entrance fee is great value (best tied in with pre-booked trip) and the ‘The Awakening’ – an immersive light and sound show at the end really top's it all off.
