点评:I came here expecting a beautiful, ethical experience with elephants, but what I witnessed left me heartbroken and honestly horrified.
When you first arrive, they have you wash an elephant, and at first it feels like a special, once-in-a-lifetime experience. But as soon as you start walking around and seeing the rest of the elephants, the reality becomes impossible to ignore.
Many of them were chained up. Some were standing there for long periods, not even in the shade. Even worse, a few of the areas where they were chained had puddles of blood. This wasn’t just a little discoloration in water—it was clearly a significant amount, and it was incredibly disturbing to see. No animal should be living like that.
You could see the sadness and exhaustion in their eyes. These are such majestic, intelligent animals, and seeing them treated this way was deeply upsetting.
Staff also carried what looked like a pickaxe-type tool used to “stimulate” or control the elephants if they didn’t listen. It made me wonder if that’s where the blood was coming from. Watching that happen made the whole experience feel cruel rather than educational or respectful.
I truly regret not researching this place more before going. If I had known what was happening behind the scenes, I never would have supported it. What should have been a meaningful encounter turned into something deeply sad and disturbing. I hope others will look carefully into how animals are treated before choosing where to visit.
