What has happened to Birdworld?

点评：Visited with 6 year old Granddaughter. Been several times the previous being last year. Very disappointing. Yes there are lots of new areas. Unfortunately the new outdoor play area was not accessible because of the high winds but even when they did drop it remained closed. The indoor play area is new and seemingly large but as my wife pointed out, on busy summer days the tables will be taken up by families watching their children and not necessarily purchasing food which can only be done by touchscreen or scanning a QR code on your table. Hopefully more seating will be provided immediately outside but that said, if you are eating you will probably have children with you who will want to be inside playing.
The new marble run is already damaged in some areas where people have climbed on it to view the birds. In other areas the wood seems to have warped or been angled incorrectly meaning the purchased cork balls drop off. Perhaps a slightly heavier wooden ball might stay on better.
The MAIN DISAPPOINTMENT is the seemingly lack of birds. The cages and enclosures don't seem to have been touched and are old and dark and dingy. I have always felt sorry when a solitary creature is enclosed on it's own.
I think regrettably that this will be our last visit to Birdworld. It's expensive for what it is which isn't an emphasis on birds.
