Kite feeding!!!
Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre的点评
点评：Not too expensive to park (and as long as you pay by midnight no fine, so you can pay when you leave which is useful if you don't know how long you'll be there for)
We got there in time to do a slow walk from the car park down to the lake to get there in time for the 2pm red kite feeding.
There are some benches down by the lake, but if you keep walking there's a covered bird hide which is where they throw the kite food down. Highly recommend being at the hide to be able to see all the birds swooping down to get the food.
Before the feeding the hundreds of kites were circling in the sky and I thought that was an amazing sight.
But at exactly 2pm the food was thrown on the ground by the hide and we witnessed all the birds flying down to get the food and it was one of the most fun things I've ever seen.
As others have said the visitor centre/cafe are closed (no idea if that's permanent or not) but there are some portable toilets next to the closed building (better than the standard portaloos, and at least have proper sinks, soap and hand dryers)
We were only there for an hour so only paid £1 for the parking.
Highly recommend seeing the kites being fed. Feels like a once in a lifetime experience!
