Blatant Disrespect and Zero Accountability

点评：There’s a clear pattern here if you read the reviews—rude staff, cheap second-rate balls, and absolutely no concept of customer service. My son brought me here while I was visiting, just to hit a few balls. We’d been to a proper range the day before and thought we’d try something different. Big mistake.
He’d only used this place a couple of times before, so we booked online—no issue. Drove 30–40 minutes, hit traffic, arrived 15 minutes late. Walked into the shop—no one there. Waited, then went to our assigned bay. As we were setting up, an older man marched over and bluntly told us we weren’t welcome. Booking cancelled. No explanation. Just “your son’s banned.” Why? He didn’t know. Asked to speak to the owner—refused.
This was all done loudly, in front of other customers. Humiliating. We walked him back to the shop and demanded a refund there and then...not back to the card sveral days / weeks later. He refused. I told him they were happy to take our money immediately, not bother contacting us about any issue, let us travel all that way, then publicly throw us out. I wasn’t asking—I was getting our money back there and then. Eventually, he “discovered” he could refund us immediately out of the till (who knew...cash works too !). How convenient.
Follow-up: My son reached out to the owner, who claimed there had been “a lot of balls hit over the fence into Broomieknowe a few Sundays ago” and that a golfer was struck. He said there had been, over a prolonged period of time, “a large number of complaints” and decided to restrict any customers who hit a ball over the net that day. Instead of fixing the obvious issue with the netting height, he chose to publicly throw people. He said he does not know who hit the golfer so he was just 'restricting (meaning Banning) everyone that day who hit over the net. That’s his idea of accountability. Pathetic.
My son’s review was mysteriously removed, even though it was completely valid. I expect this one will be censored too. But here it is: this place is a disgrace. Arrogant, unprofessional, and utterly clueless. Never coming back—and I’d advise anyone with self-respect to steer clear.

后续：我儿子联系了业主，对方称“几个星期天前有大量球打到了Broomieknowe区域”，还有一名高尔夫球手被球击中。他说确实发生过这种事。在很长一段时间里，出现了“大量投诉”，于是他决定限制当天所有击球越过网障的顾客入场。他并未去解决网障高度这一明显问题，反而选择公开禁止这些人入场。他说自己不知道是谁击中了那位高尔夫球手，所以就“限制（也就是禁止）了当天所有击球越过网障的人”。这就是他所谓的“问责方式”。可悲至极。
