Yes, if you are in the area
Manitoba Agricultural Museum的点评
点评:I liked the old pioneer houses and the QR-codes which lead to a lot of information about the buildings. So bring your mobile phone!
I greatly enjoyed the Millenium Hall which shows the process of harvesting over the century. Make sure you enter from the side as there are information boards on the outside. And there is a logical succession of the items inside. Lots to read and presented in a way you can easily understand how the machine worked.
But the museum lacks on professionalism. The parking is confusing. It is not clear where you pay for your ticket which in the end is the office which says that it is closed.
Next to the many tractors are board about the "History of Farm Power", part 2. I can't find part 1. There are boards with no text, garbage, broken (?) plastic letters and empty barrels laying around. Glass cabinets which haven't been dusted for months.
Some houses are locked although you can see through the window that there would be something to see inside.
Why?
What irritated me the most is that nobody seems to check if presented information actually can be read. There are texts hidden by objects, to high up or to far away in order to be read.
I am puzzled by the books which have been placed carelessly behind a pulpit and the torn out pages next to them. This is your heritage!
