点评：The lake remains one of our favourite places to go as a family and is as lovely as ever. However what a terrible disappointment the newly refurbished visitor centre was. Taken over by the council in March (and you can tell) and run by three staff sat on their phones with no communication, no interaction with the kids, and no interest in talking or helping us at all. I attempted to interact with a lady who was completely unbothered about trying to promote the lake or surrounding area at all. They wouldn’t even make badges with the kids when it was all set up and ready to go.
What made it worse was when attempting to hire a motor boat they said they couldn’t as the jetty was too wet. The jetty was dry, it hadn’t rained for over an hour and it became apparent that none of the staff could actually be bothered to stand up and come and launch one.
So sad to see and shame on the council for ruining this wonderful centre.
