点评:Although the Eden Project began as a wonderful idea 25 years ago, something seems to have happened to the idealistic eco-warriors along the way. They appear to have lost faith in their ability to interest the general public of all ages in the wonders of plant life and have settled for.....Dinosaurs. Lots of dinosaurs. Not real ones, of course but plastic models infesting every nook & cranny of the site..and a loud stage show featuring actors bringing more dinosaur models to life.
Oh, and they've also pinched their green noses & rediscovered and embraced entrepreneurship & capitalism - so a standard adult entry ticket to the site will now cost you £39.50, unless you're a local, or on universal credit or PIP, when you get "special" lower prices. Meanwhile, those of us who have already spent 100s of pounds to travel down & stay in Cornwall can just cough up another £40 each for the privilege of taking a long walk down from the car parks, paying £6 for an iced latte and being treated to wall to wall propaganda on everything from human origins & evolution, the supposedly impending climate catastrophe and, most worrying, the unthinking celebration of the Astra Zeneca COVID 19 vaccine. Ugh!
