Mario was the perfect guide! Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about wine, the winery, and his job!
Lots of fantastic information on the old vines, new vines, the different types of grapes, and how each variety makes a difference in different types of wine.
A tour of the history of the winery, how wine was historically made and how it is made more modern. We even got a taste of the new harvested grapes to eat on our tour.
All of their wines are natural, no added chemicals.
Then we got onto the tasting.
We ended up tasting 10 different wines including fizzy, dry and semi sweet whites, full bodied red, a red dessert wine, and a very special 1978 bottle of red!
The food was plentiful and the information around the pairings really made you think about and taste the differences.
We would recommend this to anyone! A brilliant way to spend a couple of hours! 🍷🥂
