Nature at its most impressive
Staffa Trips的点评
点评：A trip aboard MV Iolaire of Iona was a great experience.
We had some unfortunate weather whilst on Mull but Staffa Trips happily moved our booking.
The boat is a converted fishing boat with some covered benches but most seating outdoors. (If its full not everyone will be covered).
Id guess on our trip we maybe had 40 passengers and that felt busy.
The actual sail is about 45mins- 1hr and as a small boat can get moved about in the swell.
Maybe most importantly there didn't seem to be a toilet on board (so be prepared for a 3hr venture without a bathroom).
The staff are very friendly and helpful - and of course knowledgeable about the trip.
The point of this though is Staffa and Fingals Cave. This is simply stunning. Nature at its finest. Awesome geology. It is hard not to be impressed.
Remember too that there is no shelter (or bathrooms) on the island.
It did actually feel quite busy to get into Fingals Cave - not exactly a wilderness experience). But of course a wee queue is worth it!
Walk for 10.mins on the island and you’ll get away from the 'crowd' and be rewarded with great views.
Scotland is an impressive place.
