点评：The principle reason for staying in Inveraray was to visit the castle, ensuring we were there on a day it was open.
Mild panic on the morning, when checking online, all the timed tickets were sold apart from late in the day. So we chose to just walk up and chance our luck. Need not have worried, non timed specific tickets secured and straight into the castle. All staff members we encountered were lovely too, especially in helping us navigate around large tour groups!
We go to a lot of castles / old houses and often they can feel very samey - but this was very unique and interesting. The use of weapons for decor was fascinating.
The gardens were also lovely, we got caught in a rain shower so everyone else ran back or sheltered indoors. So we braved it and got the place to ourselves for a bit.
