点评：I’m loathed to share my experience as I can see from most previous reviews that people love it - I did not.
I found the tickets expensive for what was available. The car park needed to be paid for and before you knew how long you might be- ps: Vindolanda , nearby , is free.
The cafe was closed , as were the toilets when we arrived at10:30.
The entrance to the Roman ruins seemed to be haphazard and as it was not policed, a number of peopl3 just went through without paying.
The ruins were not well explained and most of ruins had no or faded signs.
Ps: the ruins are on a steep slope so , whilst not a criticism,it is not for wheelchairs or people who have limited motility.
Best thing is the view but all in all it was not a patch on Vindolanda .
I just feel they did not really try hear and the only thing they’ve got going for them is it’s only 2 miles to Sycamore gap so a nice walk.
Tip: don’t pay to go in - you can walk around outside the ruins and still see 90% of the site.

顺便说一句：遗址位于陡坡上，所以，虽然这不算缺点，但对于轮椅使用者或行动不便的人来说不太方便。
这里最好的地方是风景，但总的来说，它远不及文多兰达遗址。
我觉得他们并没有真正用心打造这个遗址，它唯一的优点就是离梧桐峡谷只有两英里，走走挺不错的。
小贴士：不用花钱进去——你可以在遗址外面走走，就能看到90%的遗址。
