The Forks National Historic Site的点评
点评：This was our first visit to Winnipeg and we felt compelled to check out the Forks area as well as Portage and Main. P&M was a little underwhelming and we struggled to find a safe parking spot on this side of the river, to leave our truck and get on our bikes. We ended up parking on the east side of the river by Provencher park as it seemed a decent neighborhood with no time limits or fee's for parking. We biked around the Forks area, stopped in at the market and train station and then attempted to ride the trails along Red river to the south. The farther we got from the Forks area the less secure we felt to the point we ended up riding on streets instead of the riverside trails. There were quite a few homeless and encampments along the river bank so we felt safer on the streets. The Forks area is nice but far from the nicest riverfront we have ever seen in Canada, but still worth a visit.
