岩石核地堡博物馆战地医院的点评
点评：The Hospital in the Rock was a secretive medical facility situated in tunnels beneath the Buda Castle Quarter and was built in the 1930s and 1940s. This opened to the public for tours in 2008 and is highly recommended to learn a little bit more about WWII, the cold war, and nuclear bunker technology.
We got tickets the day of but had to wait about an hour until the next tour. It is pretty popular so it is recommended to book online or the day before so you can get the best time. The cost is approximately 9500 HUF and the tour itself takes about an hour. It starts with a video presentation and then the guide will take you through in your language of choice. The tour shows many different rooms including where they did surgery, the kitchens, the sleeping rooms, etc. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer lots of questions. It is well worth it but it should be noted that you cannot take pictures inside.
The Hospital in the Rock is part of the Buda Castle Quarter so there is lots to see nearby. The Fisherman's Bastian is about a 5 minute walk away and there are several other areas and churches to see in the Castle Quarter. There are also quite a few good restaurants nearby so we had a nice lunch close to the Matthias Church after visiting the Hospital in the Rock.
