点评：After planning for some time to visit the LADY VICTORIA COLLIERY MUSEUM in Newtongrange I finally took the time out to visit. I Booked on line which included the General Admission & Guided Tour. The exhibition was set out in a very explanatory manner detailing not only the history of the Lady Victoria but of coal mining in general. The guided tour was led by an ex-miner by the name of “Jim” who not only give a very informative talk but gave such interesting background information on work in the coal mines. The two endearing features of this visit was it was so refreshing to find a guide such as “Jim” who really made the tour not only informative but entertaining, second point was the very reasonable cost of the visit, so often many of the Scottish tourist locations are now overpriced to such an expensive level. After the tour was finished there was a tea room and shop with books and souvenirs available to purchase. I will definitely visit again.
