点评:I wasn’t even aware this island & adventure existed until my wife told me a few days before our trip. She was eager to visit and as luck would have it, the tides appeared to be in our favour.
We ventured down the narrow country road onto the beach and found it was quite busy with other visitors parked up (who obviously walked across). At first, the route/track wasn’t obvious beyond the series of pillars and we waited for another couple of cars to start their crossing before following.
The drive across was quite unique and the kids really enjoyed the novelty of driving over the water. We took it easy following the cars in front. On crossing, we parked up and went for a little walk until the little legs got tired and wanted to return to the car.
The return drive was a little more interesting as I opted to go on the other side of the pillars (a local had advised me either side was fine). With no “friends” to follow, I gave it a little more welly going back and although we made it back in one piece, it definitely felt like there was more water that side
Would certainly recommend for tourists/visitors to the area but be sure to check the tides
