The Sheep and Wool Centre的点评
点评：I stopped in at this place on a bit of a whim - and so glad I did. It became such a memorable stop from my trip!
I got the ticket to the museum, and the tour guide Seamus was incredible. He knows everything there is to know about sheep, wool, spinning, weaving, looms, you name it - and he's a great host. He guided us around the museum and everyone had opportunities to interact with hand carders, spindles, great wheels, spinning wheels, and to learn so much about different kinds of wool (from different kinds of sheep), natural dyes, and how production has evolved over years. He then stepped onto the (I think) drawloom, that dates back to the 1880s, made from bogwood(!), and he demonstrated how a herringbone scarf is woven, with a complex series of shafts and a fly shuttle. I later learned the loom used to be decoration only, until Seamus did it up and made it functional - what a gorgeous piece of heritage to bring alive. I could've stayed there listening to him for the day, he was so knowledgeable and happy to chat.
I was also delighted to see that the shop had some of Seamus' creations on sale - herringbone scarves made from the loom on-site! I only wish they'd highlighted it more, as they were on a ladder in a corner and I could've easily missed them.
I didn't stop at the cafe or shop long, as it was crammed with tourists on coach stops, but I did get some lovely wool to knit at home (though I wish there'd been more of a selection).

令我欣喜的是，店里还出售希莫斯亲手制作的产品——就是在店里的织布机上织出的人字纹围巾！我只希望他们能更醒目地展示这些商品，因为它们被放在角落的梯子上，不然我很可能就会错过了。
由于当时有很多旅游巴士上的游客涌入，咖啡馆和商店里人满为患，所以我没在那里停留太久。不过我确实买到了一些很不错的毛线，可以带回家编织（虽然我希望可选的种类能更多一些）。
