点评:Providing you have no mobility issues, this is a lovely medieval gem. Quite expensive for the small amount that you can see, but I think if you book to go on a day when there is something going on, rather than a random Wednesday in April, it would make it much more worthwhile going. We found we were done in about half an hour as not all of the hall is open to the public - it's just a small section. Very interesting architecture though. We enjoyed the museum room and the chapel with original painted wall plaster was a highlight for me. The long gallery was stunning and the dining room and great hall were both lovely - I wanted to just stand and stare around for the whole afternoon. The cafe was basic but nice and if you can eat gluten, you will love the cake counter! Every single cake looked mouthwatering - and this is from a gluten intolerant carb-hater! Parking is very expensive at £4.40, payable by contactless card on the way out. It's a shame that the parkland is not open for people to walk around as part of the price of the ticket, as that would make it more worthwhile, but apparently you can book to see it on a tour during the summer. Very quiet when we went, despite it being Easter holidays.
