点评：What makes Chatsworth especially special is that it is privately funded, which gives the whole estate a different feel compared to many National Trust properties. Everything feels very well maintained and thoughtfully run, and it really stands out as a premium visitor experience.
After a long walk around the grounds in hot weather, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and shops. Unlike some other historic sites, nothing felt disappointing here. The food was genuinely excellent — we had a hot meal for £12.50, and it was well worth it. There was also a fantastic selection of milkshakes with three scoops in a glass, almost like something you would expect at Disneyland.
Inside the house, one of the most memorable touches was seeing a grand piano in one of the rooms that visitors are actually allowed to play. If you are a pianist, it is definitely worth bringing a piece of music with you — it is such a unique and special experience.
The gardens were absolutely stunning, especially the fountain feature, which created a truly magical atmosphere. It felt like stepping into a film scene, and it is the perfect place to dress up in your best clothes and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, Chatsworth House is a truly wonderful and unforgettable visit.
