Very special, a real gem

点评：Visiting the house and exhibition was a special and uplifting experience. The exhibition was beautifully curated and more alive than the digital images could ever be. As an artist I want to paint flowers as more than pretty pictures and this was inspirational. I also realised how much we had been affected by long past visits to the house, as now our home is old and unpretentious, with vernacular oak, white walls and an eclectic mixture of artefacts.
I’d been worried by my limited mobility and the stairs in the house but the staff could not have been more kind, helpful and informative. They even came to find us in the exhibition when there was a time slot for the house earlier than booked. There was seating everywhere and carefully managed space, plus portable stools for the exhibition. We were lucky to find street parking nearby, using a Blue Badge.
