点评：My wife and I and our elderly father in law visited Shugborough in mid June. Shugborough is an absolute gem of a National Trust property and easily one of our best days out in Staffordshire. Shugborough Estate offers a brilliant mix of history, stunning architecture, and beautifully maintained outdoor spaces. The mansion house itself is spectacular, filled with fascinating historic collections and beautifully preserved rooms that give you a real insight into the Anson family history. Beyond the main house, the sheer scale of the estate is impressive. You can easily spend hours exploring the walled garden, the working farm, and the unique monuments scattered across the riverside parkland. Everything is exceptionally well-managed, with clear signage, excellent walking paths, and plenty of space to enjoy a peaceful stroll. The on-site cafés serve great food and coffee, and the staff and volunteers are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Whether you are a history enthusiast, a photographer, or just looking for a beautiful place for a long walk, Shugborough delivers on every level.
