A great tour, well worth the money.
Three Pines Tours的点评
点评：If you are a fan of Louise Penny and the Gamache books, this full day tour is a must. It takes you to all of the places that have inspired her books and brings them to life. Our tour guide Patricia had a great sense of humour and made the tour all the more memorable and interesting with anecdotes and tidbits of information. Patricia was able to explain Louise Penny's creativity in taking attributes of 2 or more locations to create the locations in her books. We were impressed with her ability to assist the other groups tour guide and how graciously she handled the couple sitting at our reserved table.
We especially found the Abbey impressive. A stunning piece of Quebec history and architecture. She also shared history at the Knowlton museums that we were unaware of. A little more time would have been nice to explore the museum more fully. The Haskell Free Library and Opera House was especially worthwhile. Lunch at the Manoir Hovey was exceptional. The stop at the General Store in Georgeville for coffee and croissant is welcome if you didn't have breakfast but perhaps could be otherwise skipped for more time at the museum. The highlight of our tour was meeting Louise Penney when she dropped into the bookstore. Our visit to the Three Pines cafe at the end of the tour was the perfect way to end the day; tired, well fed and looking forward to the new book.
