Well worth a visit.
Stokesay Castle的点评
点评：Stokesay has been on my list of places to visit for a long time, and I am pleased to say that it was as good, in fact even better, than expected.
Whilst the Gatehouse gets most of the attention, I thought the Great Hall was the highlight and love the unusual shape of the main Castle building. There's plenty to explore and an excellent audio tour is available for free.
I also loved the little garden with a special feature visible from above, church and the great little tea room at the carpark.
There were lots of butterflies and bees in the garden and nesting swifts in the castle buildings. If you don't like birds flying about, I would visit later in the year after all the young have fledged.
This is very good value for an English Heritage site, and is cheaper if booked in advance online.
Not to mention the friendly helpful staff, who are clearly knowledgeable and passionate about this site.
