Brilliant Family Experience – Great Food, Fun Tour & Fantastic Staff!
Clonakilty Blackpudding Visitor Centre的点评
点评：We had a brilliant visit to the Clonakilty Blackpudding Visitor Centre – it’s an absolute must if you’re anywhere near the area!
What really made the experience stand out was the staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Pauline upstairs in the café and Rory at reception – both were so chatty, knowledgeable, and full of fascinating history and extra insights that really brought the whole place to life.
The kids absolutely loved it too. There was an Easter hunt going on, which kept them fully engaged, and the dress-up section with traditional clothing was a huge hit – especially the butcher shop part of the tour, which they found great fun. They were also really intrigued by the factory viewing window, seeing how everything is made.
Top tip: try to go before 12 if you can – you’ll see more of the actual production in action, as most of the staff finish up around then.
And definitely arrive hungry! The tasting at the end was fantastic – generous portions of pudding, rashers, and sausages, all included in the tour, along with a lovely big pot of hot tea to wash it all down.
The gift shop was another highlight – really good value with lovely souvenirs. We picked up pens for €2 and there were mugs, hats, t-shirts, and tote bags all around the €10 mark.
Overall, a fantastic, family-friendly experience with great food, great value, and genuinely lovely people. Highly recommend!
