Great afternoon at York Minster
约克大教堂的点评
点评：Our family absolutely loved visiting York Minster. Standing inside genuinely feels like stepping straight into history. The architecture is breathtaking, and the precious artefacts and ornate craftsmanship throughout are remarkable.
We spent around 90 minutes exploring. Rather than taking a formal guided tour, we scanned the QR codes dotted around to learn about specific features at our own pace, which worked brilliantly for us. Reading about the famous 1984 fire and discovering just how long the cathedral took to build were particular highlights that really captured the girls' imaginations.
The Undercroft Museum beneath the Minster was a massive hit, especially with my youngest daughter. While we gave the tower climb a miss on this occasion, there was still plenty to keep everyone engaged. The £20 admission fee initially felt a little steep, but given how much there is to discover, it proved well worth the money, particularly with the added bonus that tickets grant annual entry if you're able to go back.
