点评:This beautiful little church, located on Coney Street, is almost lost amongst the modern shops fronts and its old but plain front belies the beauty that is behind it and inside.
The front has an archway which gives a view of the courtyard beyond, but which is locked from public access by metal railings.
Unfortunately, on our visit, this view was marred by the presence of large rubbish bins and bundles of cardboard awaiting collection. An unfitting use of this space and one which mars the significance of this church.
Down the side is the main entrance door which reveals an inner door to help keep birds out. Access is free if charge.
Inside you will find a well kept and clean church, with beautiful stained glass windows alongside a golden font, and plaques around explaining its history, and one paying tribute to those’d who gave their lives in the First World War.
A prayer tree is also available for public use.
