点评："Borgo Universo" is the name of a festival of both street art and astronomy, created with this formula because Filippo Angelitti (1856-1931), a renowned astronomer, was born here.
The festival has been held in Aielli since 2017, and features national and international artists. The murals created by these artists remain part of the town's cityscape, which today presents itself as a colorful treasure trove, attracting travelers even well outside of the festival season. Guided tours are also available.
Walking through the town's streets is truly a feast for the eyes. We visited on a sunny December day, when the grazing light of a winter afternoon enhanced the colors.
We also noted that the festival also hosts other artistic events in addition to murals. In the hamlet of Aielli Stazione, for example, several sculptures have been installed in public spaces as part of the festival's events.
