There wasn’t enough seating, and when I raised this with the admin team, I was told there were sufficient seats and that members of the public had simply left random seats empty. As a result, my partner and four-year-old had to stand in a hot tent while others were dancing around them, which was far from ideal.
When we boarded the train, there was an issue with our allocated seats despite us booking a high-priced package for four people. We were not seated together, which made things particularly difficult with a young child. Our baby kept trying to move between us, and although staff repeatedly told us to keep her seated, this was very challenging given we were spread out. It led to a frustrating and stressful experience rather than an enjoyable one.
When I tried to raise the issue, the response from both the admin team and a member of the acting staff was dismissive and lacked empathy. I was simply told it was an “admin issue,” with no attempt to resolve it in the moment or thereafter.
At the end of the experience, I asked if a staff member could take a photo of the four of us together, as this was meant to be a special occasion. Initially, this request was met with visible annoyance and reluctance, and although it was eventually agreed to, the interaction felt unwelcoming.
I understand the team may be tired after running multiple shows, but for families attending—especially children—this is meant to be a magical, one-time experience. Unfortunately, that wasn’t reflected in the service we received. There was also an inappropriate joke that referenced Philip Schofield.
I would not recommend this experience, and if you are planning to attend, I would advise lowering your expectations.
