Exceptional 5-Star Golfing Experience with Minor Pre-Round Hiccups

点评：This was my second time playing Quinta do Lago South, and the golf itself is a solid 5/5 stars—an absolute must-play for any golfer visiting the Algarve. However, a few minor drawbacks off the course would make it a 4/5 overall.
The Golf Experience (5/5)
The condition of the course easily justifies its premium reputation. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in pristine, perfect condition, and every single hole is a joy to play. On-course service was top-notch—we were offered refreshing cold towels, and the beverage cart came by regularly.
Check-In & Range Timing (3.5/5)
My experience before the round was a bit stressful. I booked a last-minute tee time the day before via an agency, and despite having a confirmation from the Golfclub, it wasn't in their system upon arrival. The front desk staff handled it as well as they could, but it wasn't the ideal first impression. With a 7:28 AM tee time and a €243 green fee (excluding cart), I wanted a full warm-up, but the driving range only opens at 7:00 AM. After resolving the check-in issue, I had to rush a few quick swings and head straight to Tee 1.
Clubhouse & Dining (4/5)
The clubhouse terrace is a lovely spot for a post-round drink with great views over Tee 1. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was good but not overly memorable—next time I would likely just stop by for drinks.
Verdict
Despite the hectic morning, I was completely thrilled with the round itself. Highly recommended, but make sure your third-party booking is sorted in advance and plan around the 7:00 AM range opening if you have an early tee time!
