点评：We used Amazing Borneo for our Selingan Turtle Island trip and the whole experience was very well organized from the logistical side.
Everything worked as planned, the accommodation on Selingan was comfortable, and our guide John was excellent – friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making the experience special for us. He also helped me arrange a surprise turtle nest adoption for my wife, which became a very meaningful part of our honeymoon.
Selingan is an unusual experience because nature determines almost everything. On our night the weather was rainy and turtle activity was limited, so there was quite a lot of waiting. That is obviously not something any tour operator can control.
What happened during the daytime, however, made the visit unforgettable. Two turtle nests hatched naturally while we were on the island and we watched the tiny hatchlings emerge from the sand and make their own way across the beach towards the sea. We also encountered a large monitor lizard while walking around the island. Those spontaneous wildlife encounters became some of our strongest memories from Sabah.
We particularly appreciated that the turtle conservation programme on Selingan felt serious rather than like a staged wildlife attraction, and the nest adoption made the conservation side of the visit more personal.
Amazing Borneo handled the trip smoothly and professionally, and John deserves a special mention for the way he looked after us and helped with the surprise. We are very glad we included Selingan in our Sabah itinerary.
