Village like ambience at Ong Lang Beach area
富国岛监狱的点评
点评：I spent 8 nights at Phu Quoc Island staying at Cottage Village near to Ong Lang Beach.
It took only 90 minutes from Singapore to Phu Quoc and I had a good deal from trip.com.
It was the raining season. In between the downpours and on clear days, I managed to go around to the sandy beaches of Khem and Bao Dai. Also took readily available taxi to the night market area for shopping and dinner.
During the relaxing 9 days I was able to: catch up on my reading, enjoy the waves at Ong Lang beach, have daily foot reflexology and enjoy the food at the various small restaurants near the Cottage. There were supermarkets nearby and I enjoyed shopping at the CS supermarket where the sale assistants were very chatty and helpful.
The place had many low lying wooden accommodations with wide expanse of lush greenery. My room at Cottage Village was spacious with a big bedroom and bathroom. The Cottage was surrounded by well maintained plants and shrubs. It was like Phuket a few decades back and as a warning do not expect 5 star standard. But enjoy the hospitality and slow pace of the daily life and the incessant rain during the raining season. Spread the hotel beach towel on the beach and enjoy the sea breeze.
There was a few storeys resort being constructed near to the beach and it was beginning to disrupt the village like ambience. The Ong Lang beach could do with some clean up during the low tide where some debris were being swept to the beach. Warning signs could be put up to remind beach goers not to leave plastic bottles and cans behind.
Hope that the Ong Lang beach and its surrounded could maintain its rustic and serene environment. At the hotel counter, one could see the old manual scale weighing machine for guests to weigh their luggages.

希望翁朗海滩及其周边地区能够保持其质朴宁静的环境。在酒店前台，可以看到一台老式的手动秤，供客人称量行李。
