El Nispero Zoo and Botanical Garden的点评
点评：El Nispero Zoo is a small collection run on a shoestring budget. The animals are mostly rescued animals (orphaned, injured, unsuitable rehomed pets) that cannot be released.
Where rehabilitation and re-release is possible this is the aim.
The staff are caring, and do the best they can to provide a calm and safe environment for their animals. If you watch the interactions between the animals and staff you can the kindness of the staff and the trust of the animals.
I live in El Valle and see changes and improvements regularly.
The zoos costs are subsidized through the sale of plants and eggs, and donations are gratefully received.
It provides a great opportunity to see some of the native wildlife up close, and is a wonderful resource for local and visiting school parties.
The staff are working towards improving educational facilities and are adding animal enrichment into the daily routine.
I highly recommend visiting this collection, but do not expect the high standards of wealthy north American and European zoos.
