点评：The Duomo di Milano is one of those places that you think you already know from hundreds of photographs, but standing in front of it is a completely different experience.
What always strikes us is the incredible amount of detail. The longer you look, the more you notice, the sculptures, the spires, the façade and that almost impossible level of craftsmanship. It is monumental, but at the same time incredibly delicate.
And then there is the rooftop, which for us is an essential part of the experience. Walking among the spires and seeing Milan from above gives you a completely different perspective of the cathedral and makes you appreciate even more how extraordinary its architecture really is.
Yes, it is busy and probably the most obvious place to visit in Milan, but sometimes the obvious places are famous for a reason. The Duomo is definitely one of them. A masterpiece that never loses its magic.
