Fine local rhums at very good prices. Super friendly staff. Easy walk from pier.

点评：If you’re a lover of fine wines and spirits, especially higher-end spirits from Martinique, this is the place. They even had a 70 year old bottle of Armagnac at a price you can’t find in the US; so it’s definitely more than just rhums. They have the usual stuff for folks who don’t know what to look for of course but look past that for the good local stuff which is in abundance.
If you’re coming from the cruise pier, this is a reasonable 20 minute walk on fairly well marked sidewalks. They have security so you have to be buzzed into the store, but for a couple of US tourists, safety is always appreciated. Just press the buzzer at the door and they’ll open it for you. Once inside, it’s beautiful, clean, and air conditioned. Staff was SUPER friendly and spoke perfect English. They also take Visa, Mastercard, and of course US cash. No Amex though.
I was offered a tasting of some of the local rhums which I gladly accepted. I was NEVER asked for a tip which I appreciate. Naturally tip anyway when you receive guided and personal service like that. But $10 US for several tastings of rhum, that’s cheaper than the boat! Plus, the staff was able to help me find a local rhum at two different price points.
Overall, fantastic store. Safe and relaxed environment, friendly staff. Can’t go wrong. Whenever I come back on my next cruise, this will be a go-to.
