点评：Zaanse Schans is a famous landmark in the Netherlands, renowned for its beautifully preserved historic windmills. Visitors can choose to buy tickets to tour the inside of the windmills or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic riverbank. Although it’s a bit of a trek from the Amsterdam city center-requiring a short train or bus ride-it is absolutely worth the trip, especially on a sunny day.
While you are there, be sure to stop by the cheese factory (Catharina Hoeve). They host live demonstrations showcasing the traditional cheese-making process and offer tons of free samples of various Gouda and Edam cheeses, with plenty of delicious souvenirs available for purchase.
Another highlight is the wooden shoe workshop (Klompenmakerij), which displays the fascinating history and craftsmanship behind traditional Dutch clogs. They even do live carving demonstrations and sell adorable wooden shoe souvenirs that make perfect keepsakes.
