Overpriced and overcrowded
丘吉尔作战室的点评
点评：The experience was comparable to a poorly lit queue at Disneyland in high season. Without a thrilling ride at the end... Far too many people in the narrow corridors. In my view clearly a health and safety issue, in addition to us being unable to see the exhibits properly.
Private tour guides should be banned, their groups block the passages as their clients huddle to hear what is being said rather than use the free audio guides. Additionally our view of the map room, one of the main exhibits, was severely limited by an IWM guide who took a group INSIDE the exhibition and stood there for a long time.
The Churchill collection part of the museum was impossible to get a grip on with so many people stuffed into the room. Impossible to navigate unless you are prepared to shuffle in line for several hours to see everything, which is a lot. Someone didn't know how to prioritize, so they put enough to fill two thick books in the room. For someone with reasonably good eyes for an old man (just using reading glasses) it was hard to read a lot of the printed information due to the lack of light in places.
Had been looking forward to this, but it was overpriced and overcrowded.
I have visited many other war related museums in the UK, this was the one where expectations and the actual experience was the furthest apart.
