Stunning location - absolute rip-off
怀特岛尖柱区的点评
点评：This is such a magical location of pure beauty and worth visiting for the breath-taking views alone. It is very sadly let down however, by the sheer exploitation and greed in terms of milking every possible penny out of tourists.
Everything here is massively marked-up. As others have said, the parking is ridiculous. It's £7.00 no matter when you arrive. OK it's only staffed between the working part of the day, so technically free after a certain point - but if you were to arrive say, one hour before that - you'll be paying the same £7.00 as someone who's been parked there since opening! Mad.
Even the mini arcade games are expensive. 50p a go for a crane grab? Anywhere else on the Island is 20p. The canteen looked great when we walked in - quickly realising hardly anyone was eating (it was lunchtime too) and quickly found out why. Those supermarket sausage rolls you get from Morrisons and the like? You can get a really crusty one of those which has been sat on the hotplate for hours, for around £4.50 I think - and a cup of tea £3.75 I believe. Really? For a cup of tea? It costs less at a motorway service station for goodness sake.
Finally there's the gift shop. The mark-ups here are insane. Here's a couple of examples - your Vampire Slayer chilli sauce from Garlin Farm across the island is £6.50 but here you'll pay £9.50 for the same thing. As is the Mermaid Gin which is pretty much £42 anywhere on the Island (and £37.50 if you can get a discount depending on the situation). Here? £55.00 a bottle!
The real tragedy is people are obviously paying these hugely overinflated prices. Until they stop, they'll continue to do it - and worse of all, force others to raise their prices too.
My advice is to avoid this place - or better still, go when the car park is unmanned at the very least.

真正的悲剧是，人们显然在为这些虚高的价格买单。除非他们停止这种行为，否则这种现象会一直持续下去——更糟糕的是，还会迫使其他人也提高价格。
我的建议是避开这个地方——或者更好的是，至少在停车场无人值守的时候去。
