点评:The museum is located right next to the circuit, and presents a chronology of motorsport at Silverstone.
There are quite a few cars there from the early days right up till 2019. Lots of interactive and informative displays about various aspects of motor engineering design and the development of Silverstone circuit.
On the value for money basis I would only give this 4 out of 10 as tickets are quite expensive remember though if you gift aid you can come back as many times as you want all year.
Considering the cost and applying a value conscious north of England perspective (where earnings are much less. )
For example the catering prices are well off the scale. For example pre-packed boxed sandwiches £4.95 each. It could get rather expensive to sustain a family if you stayed in the cafe area. All I can say is the robot which delivers your food must be really well paid !
There is a Silverstone driving simulator within the facility but at £25 for a 30 minute session I would say that is a little too expensive
They do say that Formula One is a rich persons sport what I’d also say is that getting to know the history of Formula One is also very expensive.
All of the above having been said the facility is a state of the art world class attraction. If there are offers on tickets, (such as last Sundays mums go free offer ) I would recommend visiting when those offers are applicable.
Kind regards
Michael
