点评:This was a much quieter visitor attraction but nonetheless one I’d definitely recommend. We paid for the extra bits including the lift to the top but there were no queues so it would have been easy enough to pay on the day. Good few steps up but nothing too strenuous and the views are great. We stopped on the terrace to enjoy a Prosecco and tiramisu enjoying the views over the Colosseum and the Forum. Prices were a little on the expensive side but that’s only to be expected and you can’t get a view like that anywhere else. The panoramic terrace provides an amazing bird’s eye view over the city and its rather a unique way to see the sites laid out before you. The map boards are a little worn in places making it difficult to work out what some of the buildings are so that might benefit from a bit of improvement. Definitely worth an afternoon for something a bit different. Don’t miss the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on the way up. A controversial structure it would seem with many classing it as ugly - is it a wedding cake or a typewriter? Either way I think it’s spectacular! Very enjoyable.
