点评:You can only visit this vessel through a slot on a tour and it busy visitor periods you may well need to book. The tour lasts around an hour and our guide on the day was Steve who showed an excellent knowledge of the history of this replica ship of the same name. The original ship is on the Atlantic seabed. As heart breaking as the story of the Great Hunger is, this is a story of the triumph by the ship owners in transporting the poor people fortunate enough to find passage on this ship. We would definitely recommend a visit to The Jessie Johnston if you possibly can. It is just along the dock from EPIC and visits can easily be combined. Especially as the ticket you get from EPIC entitles you to revisit during the day to finish off your passport if the time to visit this ship comes before you finish all of the EPIC centre. When under deck and in the passenger area you can certainly see how cramped it was and it is hard to imagine how bad the other ship would have been with even more cramped conditions than 5 in a bunk!
We used out Go city Dublin card for entry and while appreciating the discount it was well worth the entry money even if paying the full fee. We would rate this as a must do if in Dublin for a few days. Thanks again to Steve for a very good presentation
