A small but engaging history museum
Knaut-Rhuland House Museum的点评
点评：I visited in early August along with my family. This museum is in a historic house and it is (or at least was during my visit) renovations. On paper that should have detracted from the experience, but the staff told us about what they were working on to maintain the structure and I found it really interesting. It was not busy on the day I visited, which made it more fun because I could spend time looking at the information panels. The interpreters were in costumes from the time frame of the late 1700s or early 1800s. I think if you are visiting Lunenburg this place is one of the rare opportunities, other than the Fisheries museum, or taking a tour to get a broad narrative about Lunenburg's history. Which was something I really felt the town needed more of. So that made this place helpful and worth a visit. We ended up staying about an hour. I would highly reccomend this place if you are looking for a way to know more about local history and to hear a few interesting historical stories.
