We were lucky enough to spend my birthday out on the water, and it’s definitely one I’ll never forget.
Although we unfortunately didn’t get the chance to swim with the whales this time, it wasn’t a disappointment at all, quite the opposite! There were so many calves around, which was so special to see and made us incredibly happy. A whale watch always comes with a bit of luck, and we felt very lucky to have had such an amazing day.
What really stood out was the team’s respect for the whales and their passion for sharing their knowledge. Jack and James were fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic, and Steve, our skipper, made us feel completely at ease throughout the trip.
We were aboard the Quick Cat II, which was a very comfortable boat, and we joined the morning tour with a lunch stop at Kingfisher Bay Resort. Everything was smooth, well organised and easy from start to finish. Since we were early September, we were around 50/60 people on the boat (I think), it didn't feel crowded at all!
Thank you to the whole team for making the day so special. We’ll definitely be back next year! 🐋💙
